What to do as a family

Fishers Farm Park - RH14 0EG, 10 mins

Fisher Farm is right on our doorstep and we have visited many, many time over the years. From soft-play and slides, to a waterpark, to a ghost train, to an adventure castle and other rides, as well as loads of animals – this is the perfect day out for kids (pop to The Bat and Ball pub on the way home for a well deserved adult drink!)

Drusillas Zoo - BN26 5QS, 50 mins

A bit further afield, this zoo/adventure park is well worth the drive. Drusillas is also very close to the beautiful Seven Sister Coastline so make it a day trip!

Southwater Country Park - RH13 9UN, 15 mins

Lovely park with Southwater Watersports Centre. You can hire kayaks, paddleboards, rowing boats and mountain bikes here.

Bluebell Railway - TN22 3QL, 45 mins (reopening August)

One of our family favourites. An 1880’s steam train station turned into a museum with working steam training which you can ride through the Sussex countryside.

For a closer alternative, google South Downs Light Railway (15 mins).
